Donating your Time or Services…

Liam’s Lodge is now actively seeking support trade professionals & contractors to get involved with the new respite centre for children affect by Rare Disease.

We have ‘STOLEN’ the Niall Mellon Trust Model, which has seen hundreds and thousands of Irish tradesmen donate time, equipment & funds to help vulnerable people overseas, now we asking asking you to do the same for our OWN people here in Ireland.

We would be very grateful if you could offer your skills , time & services to help us build this badly needed facility. No matter what you can do for us, it will be appreciated and you can create a positive impact on the lives of children affected by genetic & rare disease, their parents and siblings.

With 10 family rooms being built during each phase, (30 in total), we are asking for  your support.

We operate without state aid, however we believe that together we can make a positive impact on those families who are affected, many of which are society’s most vulnerable and sadly unknown to the general public.

There are upto 366,400 indivdiuals with a rare disease in Ireland (6-8% of the population: Dept Of Health Figures)

Almost 70% of these fellow Irish people are children, 30% of which won’t make it to their 5th birthday.

We also want to make Liams Lodge an example of best practice Energy Conservation, we want the build a highly energy efficient building, we have an old windmill in Blennerville already, lets hope we can also build a new wind turbine to power our lodge!

We would invite you to contact us and let us know what you can offer, no matter how big or how small, we will appreciate all support right down to the last nail.

Lodge Adoption Scheme

Imagine, you or your company being personally responsible for providing respite for 52 families each year for a number of years.

We are now actively seeking support from the Corporate & Business community alike to get involved and to come on board and sponsor a lodge.

Our ‘active adoption’ scheme will offer those involved the option to put personal touches to the family unit which they have sponsored, and we would be more than willing to invite employees of the company to get involved during each stage of the build.

The period of adoption can be set for any duration, from one year to several years, during which time, your support will allow affected families  to each benefit from a weeks respite from the stress of every day life.

Each unit shall be operated in close coordination with the company during this period and for many years to come, more importantly 100% of funds donated or raised by your employees for your lodge shall be visible for all to see, literally.
